Privacy Policy

CryptoDesk Editorial Team

One-line summary

We never ask for personal details. There are no user accounts, no comments, and no third-party advertising SDKs. You do not need to sign up to read anything on the Site. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand visits and interactions (including clicks on affiliate links and copies of the referral code); it uses cookies, which you can manage in your browser. Cloudflare, which delivers the Site, also runs a cookie-free page-statistics script.

What we don't collect

We never collect, store, or process:

  • Name, email address, phone number, or other identifying information;
  • Precise location (Google Analytics 4 estimates a rough region from your IP; we do nothing more precise);
  • Device fingerprints;
  • Linked third-party platform accounts;
  • Wallet addresses or on-chain activity;
  • Any biometric data.

The Site has no account sign-up, newsletter, or comment login feature. RSS subscription is anonymous: your reader fetches /feed.xml, but we do not know who you are.

Logs, Cloudflare and page statistics

Nothing about your visit is written to a log on our own server. Every visit is routed through Cloudflare first, and to hand you the page Cloudflare processes:

  • Your IP address;
  • The URL you requested;
  • Your browser type (User-Agent string).

That processing is governed by the Cloudflare Privacy Policy, not by us.

Cloudflare also inserts its Web Analytics script, loaded from static.cloudflareinsights.com, into each page. It gives us page-view counts, referring sites and load-time figures in aggregate. Cloudflare's description of the product says it keeps nothing in your browser's storage and does not single out visitors by their IP or browser characteristics. Google Analytics 4 is covered in the next section. If you'd rather opt out, any ad blocker with an analytics filter list will cut off both.

Cookies

Two kinds of cookies are involved:

  • The short-lived __cf_bm cookie set automatically by Cloudflare for anti-bot and DDoS protection (expires in 30 minutes);
  • Google Analytics 4 analytics cookies, used to understand visits and interactions: which pages were viewed, where visitors came from, and in which part of a page an affiliate link was clicked or the referral code was copied. We look at aggregate reports.

We do not use:

  • Advertising cookies (the Site carries no ads);
  • Preference cookies (the Site does not "remember" your settings).

You can view, delete or block these cookies in your browser settings, or block Google Analytics with a browser extension; the Site works the same either way.

Referral-parameter tracking

Links on this Site that point to OKX use the path-style referral URL okx.com/join/<code>. The code is part of the link itself; no script adds a query parameter such as ?invitecode=. Specifically:

  • The code lives only in the link—nothing is written to a cookie or local storage;
  • When you click an affiliate link or copy the code, the Site records one Google Analytics 4 event carrying only the page area and language, with no name or email;
  • It only comes into play when you actively click a link;
  • Its sole purpose is to identify "this visitor came from CryptoDesk" inside OKX's affiliate system;
  • In the partner dashboard, OKX shows the UID and trading data (volume, fees) of referred accounts; OKX's published rules say nothing about partners seeing your real name, email or asset balances.

Once you arrive at OKX, OKX's own privacy policy and terms of service apply, and CryptoDesk's policies no longer govern that interaction.

Third-party websites

The Site contains links to third-party websites, including OKX. Those websites operate under their own privacy policies, and we accept no responsibility for them. All outbound links include rel="noopener noreferrer", so your browser does not send a Referer header to the third party.

Minors

The Site's content (crypto assets, derivatives, trading tools) is not intended for minors. If you are under 18 (or under the age of majority in your jurisdiction), please do not use the Site. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13 within the meaning of the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA, 15 U.S.C. §§ 6501-6506).

Your privacy rights (GDPR, CCPA, and other laws)

Depending on where you live, you may have legal rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal data—for example, under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA / CPRA), the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA), or Brazil's LGPD.

We do not ask for or store your name, email or similar details. Analytics data collected through Google Analytics 4 is processed by Google under its own privacy policy. We do not sell personal data.
